Similar situation here, I was admitted to l&d for contractions 2 weeks ago at 33.1 weeks, they were 3 mins apart. I dilated to 1 cm and then stopped. They gave me fluids and steroids but no meds to stop them. They discharged me the next day bc the contractions were every 10 mins and not as painful. Was told to take it easy but not put on bed rest. Can you have contractions without your cervix being dilated? labor pains, BH, for about a week and a couple of days now and I went to the doctors today and they told me I have not dilated and my cervix is not even open yet! :( So I believe they are just false labor pains that you are experiencing. I went home from 1:30-6:30am and when I came back it was much more obvious to me why they sent me home because I could barely walk into the hospital, wanted to cry, etc.
